Teaching & academics
Results at the top end are strong: 87 per cent of GCSE grades reached 9 to 7, and at A-level 69 per cent of entries were graded A*-A, rising to 88 per cent at A*-B. The sixth form is sizeable, with 364 pupils, and leans heavily towards the sciences and mathematics, with Maths, Further Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Biology among the most popular choices alongside Economics, History and English Literature. Pupils can also take an EPQ, and modern languages on offer include French, German and Chinese. Around 16 per cent of pupils receive SEN support.
