Teaching & academics

GCSE study spans a broad, traditional spread, from the three separate sciences and mathematics through to history, geography, business studies, computing, drama and modern languages in French and Spanish. At A-level the popular choices lean towards the social sciences, with psychology, government and politics, and economics drawing pupils. The sixth form is very small, with just 11 students, and the EPQ is offered alongside A-levels for those wanting an independent research challenge. The ISI's 'excellent' judgement for education places the school's academic provision among the strongest grade the inspectorate awards.

Watch Passmate decide how to teach.

Answer as a child would. Left: what they see. Right: what it learns about them.

A small, all-through independent with top ISI marks and a genuine track record of supporting pupils who learn differently. Best suited to families wanting a personal, nurturing setting rather than the buzz of a large sixth form.

That’s where Passmate comes in. Tutoring is the most effective thing in a child’s preparation - a well-tutored child can outperform the vast majority of their peers. Passmate works alongside your tutor, not instead of them: it learns how your child thinks, finds the gaps, and shows the tutor exactly where to spend each session - so the limited time you have lands on what actually decides a place.

Works alongside your child’s tutor - not instead of them.
