School summary

Founded in 1541, Christ College Brecon carries nearly five centuries of history as a Church of Wales foundation in the Powys town of Brecon. It is a small, mixed school of 379 pupils, of whom 122 are in the sixth form, and it offers both day and boarding places. With a remarkably low pupil-to-teacher ratio, the school is well placed to know its pupils individually. Bursaries of up to 50 per cent and a broad range of scholarships widen access beyond those who can meet the full fees.

Watch Passmate decide how to teach.

Answer as a child would. Left: what they see. Right: what it learns about them.

A historic Welsh boarding and day school where small numbers and generous bursaries combine to make a close-knit education genuinely attainable for the right families.

That’s where Passmate comes in. Tutoring is the most effective thing in a child’s preparation - a well-tutored child can outperform the vast majority of their peers. Passmate works alongside your tutor, not instead of them: it learns how your child thinks, finds the gaps, and shows the tutor exactly where to spend each session - so the limited time you have lands on what actually decides a place.

Works alongside your child’s tutor - not instead of them.
