Mobile phone policy
In the EYFS, personal mobiles are prohibited and must be stored in a locked area or office, and smartwatches restricted to watch-only mode. For other areas, personal mobiles should not be visible in teaching areas and staff should not use their personal mobiles to make or receive calls when they are supervising the children in class, on the playground or when driving. Once pupils are old enough to travel to school independently, they are permitted to have mobile phones on them during the school day, however they must be turned off and stored in a pocket or bag during school hours.
