TASIS is an independent, co-educational day and boarding school in Egham, Surrey, drawing around 620 pupils into a notably intimate learning environment. With a pupil-to-teacher ratio of roughly six to one, classes here are small by almost any measure, allowing for close attention from staff. Just over a fifth of pupils receive some form of SEN support, suggesting a school accustomed to working with a range of learning needs.

Teaching & academics

Pupils work towards either A-levels or the International Baccalaureate, giving families a choice between two well-regarded routes through the sixth form. The exceptionally low pupil-to-teacher ratio means teaching can be tailored closely to the individual, an advantage that tends to suit pupils who benefit from being known well by their teachers. The school is inspected by the ISI.

Watch Passmate decide how to teach.

Answer as a child would. Left: what they see. Right: what it learns about them.

A small, internationally minded school with an unusually generous staffing ratio and a strict no-phones campus. Fees are substantial, particularly for boarders, so it will suit families seeking a personal, choice-rich education and able to meet the cost.

That’s where Passmate comes in. Tutoring is the most effective thing in a child’s preparation - a well-tutored child can outperform the vast majority of their peers. Passmate works alongside your tutor, not instead of them: it learns how your child thinks, finds the gaps, and shows the tutor exactly where to spend each session - so the limited time you have lands on what actually decides a place.

Works alongside your child’s tutor - not instead of them.
