School summary

With just 89 pupils and a striking pupil-to-teacher ratio of around five to one, The Academy School is a small, intimate independent in Camden, north London. Founded in 1997 and led by joint principals Mr G Evans and Mrs Chloe Sandars, it offers a markedly personal alternative to larger London schools. The mixed, day-only setting means each child is well known to staff, an environment that suits families seeking close attention rather than scale.

Watch Passmate decide how to teach.

Answer as a child would. Left: what they see. Right: what it learns about them.

A genuinely small Camden independent where a five-to-one ratio puts personal attention at the heart of school life, with day fees reaching £28,656 a year.

That’s where Passmate comes in. Tutoring is the most effective thing in a child’s preparation - a well-tutored child can outperform the vast majority of their peers. Passmate works alongside your tutor, not instead of them: it learns how your child thinks, finds the gaps, and shows the tutor exactly where to spend each session - so the limited time you have lands on what actually decides a place.

Works alongside your child’s tutor - not instead of them.
