Woldingham School

Caterham, Surrey, South East · CR3 7YA

A Catholic boarding and day school for girls set in Surrey, Woldingham has educated pupils since 1842 and today teaches around 550 girls aged 11 to 19. Its standout feature is an exceptionally low pupil-to-teacher ratio of roughly seven to one, which allows for genuinely close attention. The Independent Schools Inspectorate rated the school excellent across the board in its most recent inspection, including for pupils' personal development, and found it fully compliant. Boarding sits at the heart of school life, with a thoughtful, age-graded approach to phone use that keeps the younger years largely phone-free during the day.
