Teaching & academics
Results sit well above national benchmarks: 59 per cent of GCSE entries reached grades 9-7, against a national average of 23 per cent, while at A-level 43 per cent of grades were A*-A and 76 per cent A*-B. The sciences and mathematics are clearly a strength, with Maths, Chemistry, Biology and Physics among the most popular A-level choices. Alongside GCSEs and A-levels, the school offers BTEC and the EPQ, and modern languages cover French and German. Around 18 per cent of pupils receive SEN support, a notable proportion for a selective setting.
