Teaching & academics

An excellent ISI judgement signals consistently strong teaching and outcomes across the school. The favourable staffing ratio of around twelve pupils per teacher allows close attention as girls prepare for the 11+ and move on to senior schools. Sizeable SEN provision suggests pupils with additional needs are actively supported rather than overlooked.

Mobile phone policy

We strongly advise students mobile phones should not be brought into school. Only year 6 pupils travelling to and from school are permitted to bring a phone to school. These pupils hand in their mobile phone to the school office and collect it at the end of the day. Pupils should not wear smart watches which have internet or mobile network access. Staff members may use their personal mobile phones during school break times but never in the presence of children and preferably in the staff room. All visitors are requested to refrain from using their mobile on the premises.

Watch Passmate decide how to teach.

Answer as a child would. Left: what they see. Right: what it learns about them.

A small, top-rated London prep where girls are well known and well prepared for the 11+ transition. Expect day fees up to £29,887 a year.

That’s where Passmate comes in. Tutoring is the most effective thing in a child’s preparation - a well-tutored child can outperform the vast majority of their peers. Passmate works alongside your tutor, not instead of them: it learns how your child thinks, finds the gaps, and shows the tutor exactly where to spend each session - so the limited time you have lands on what actually decides a place.

Works alongside your child’s tutor - not instead of them.
